FitMind Meditation Retreat

4-Day Meditation Training - March 5–9, 2027

We also plan to host FitMind retreats later in 2027 and beyond. So even if you can’t attend in March, please consider applying below for access to future retreats.

Lake Chapala, Mexico

In our first official FitMind meditation retreat you’ll learn a simple, exceptionally effective meditation technique. The results are immediate, and the practice is easily integrated into daily life.

This retreat is not a luxury wellness vacation or a strict meditation bootcamp. It’s an opportunity to develop a high level of mental fitness in a friendly environment.

The FitMind Method

Based on years of training as a Buddhist monk, study of applied neuroscience, and practice with teachers around the world, Liam has designed a step-by-step program of deep meditation training.

By learning the FitMind Method on retreat, you may be able to:

  • Release stressful thoughts, feelings, and emotions
  • Understand how the mind and brain work
  • Have lots of fun and feel like a kid again
  • Develop an inner tool you can use throughout everyday life
  • Access advanced states of consciousness
  • Feel more energized, resilient, meta-aware, compassionate, and happy
  • Consciously create your ideal life by letting go of mental blocks
  • Begin a practical path toward “enlightenment,” or your highest human potential
  • Connect with a community of mental athletes (i.e., committed meditators and kind people)

Whether you’re an expert meditator or just starting out, this meditation retreat will allow you to go deeper in your practice. The combination of a supportive, positive group and a screen-free, serene environment creates an ideal setting for meaningful transformation.

This is Level 1 of a planned four-level FitMind Method retreat series. Each level will introduce additional stages of the practice. Completing Level 1 will enable you to attend future advanced retreats.

About the Teacher

Liam McClintock, FitMind Founder and Retreat Leader

Liam McClintock is the founder of FitMind. After leaving a career in private equity, he traveled to Asia to study meditation and completed 800 hours of yoga teacher training. He later trained as a Buddhist monk for three years.

Liam holds a BA from Yale University and an MS in applied neuroscience from King’s College London. He has contributed to meditation research at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Liam has been teaching meditation since 2019. During his time as a monk, he had the honor of conducting and auditing hundreds of retreat interviews under top meditation teachers, including Bhante Vimalaramsi. He considers himself a friend and guide rather than an “enlightened teacher.”

Participants

  • The retreat center can accommodate up to 32 people, but we may accept fewer participants to allow sufficient time for one-on-one teacher meetings.
  • This Level 1 retreat is open to both beginning and experienced meditators, and completion of Level 1 will be required to attend Levels 2–4 and certain community events.
  • Please fill out the application form below to apply. We’re offering priority access to people who have completed the “Foundations” or “30 Days of Bliss” course in the FitMind app.

Cost

The retreat is completely free. This includes two healthy meals daily, airport transportation, comfortable accommodations, and, importantly, a community of awesome people. Travel to Mexico is not included.

We’re supported by donations, and we hope you’ll consider contributing to our nonprofit if you find the retreat valuable. (For context, comparable meditation retreats can cost hundreds or thousands of dollars.)
