Exploring the Mind-Body Connection

Episode Overview
Dr. Deborah Rozman is the CEO of HeartMath, an innovative biofeedback company, and holds a PhD in psychology.
Her company has developed a wearable biofeedback device that allows meditators to measure their physiological response to meditation through a metric called heart rate variability (HRV).
Dr. Rozman explains HRV in-depth and why it’s such an important metric for understanding your mind and body.
We also discuss the science of the heart-brain connection, what she refers to as “heart intelligence,” strategies for reducing stress, and other research that her team is conducting on the mind-body connection.
Hope you enjoy!
P.S. — If you’re serious about starting or deepening your meditation practice, check out the FitMind meditation app.
