Dr. Jay Sanguinetti Bio
Dr. Jay Sanguinetti is a research assistant professor at the University of New Mexico and the Associate Director of the Center for Consciousness Studies.
Dr. Sanguinetti’s SEMA Lab is researching ways of using noninvasive brain stimulation to enhance cognitive function and wellbeing. For example, he's working with one of the world's best-known meditation masters, Shinzen Young, to create a neuromodulation device for augmenting mindfulness meditation practice.
Previously, Dr. Sanguinetti was a postdoctoral fellow for the Army Research Labs, where he investigated neuromodulation and mindfulness training. He holds a PhD in Cognition and Neural Systems from the University of Arizona.
